Cross Chop (クロスチョップ, Cross Chop) is Incineroar's up special move in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Overview

Incineroar roars before leaping into the air, coming back down at an angle with its arms crossed and covered in fire. The move travels a set, recoverable distance if it doesn't impact the ground, and does not leave Incineroar helpless. It can also be reversed, and prevent certain self-destructs.

Origin

Cross Chop in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Cross Chop is a Fighting-type move introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver. It has 100 base power, and has a higher chance of dealing a critical hit but with a low accuracy rate. Incineroar naturally learns this move at level 66.

Trivia

  • Incineroar's leap has the same sound effect as a Spring.
  • Similar to Revenge, Cross Chop deals flame damage in Ultimate, despite being a Fighting-type move.
