EasyJet boss Carolyn McCall took home £6.4m last year, almost double her pay package a year earlier.
The budget airline published its annual report in the middle of the Autumn Statement yesterday, revealing its chief executive's pay package jumped from £3.7m a year earlier.
McCall's pay included a £665,000 salary, £4.5 million in long-term bonuses, a further £1.1 million bonus and £47,000 pension contribution. Finance boss Chris Kennedy took home £3.7 million.
The FTSE 100 carrier also saw pre-tax profits soar 51% to £478m for the year to September.
The news came as the airline said passenger numbers continued to fly up in November, with 4.25 million bums sat on its planes’ seats. That’s up 3.4 per cent on the same month a year earlier, thanks to soaring demand for flights to Moscow and Reykjavik.
