If you wwant to gain weight you need to eat calorie dense foods. Consider foods like peanut butter, fatty meats, candy bars, cookies, potatoe chips, any fried food, beer, ice cream to mention a few. These are high calorie foods because they are high in sugar and/or fat. You do want to be sensible about this and don't overdo it.
I would really go for the lean meats with complex carbs like whole grains (bread), pasta, potatoes, rice and beans. That will do it. But hey, don't forget the peanut butter (good source of fat, sugar and protein, vitamins and minerals).
