Eryngium

Eryngium is related to the common Thistle. Once its duty is done in the fresh arrangement, most Eryngium flowers dry quite nicely. To dry Blue Thistle hang bunches upside down in a dry dark area. Spray it with a commercial fixative before using in dried arrangements. This long lasting medium form flower has excellent vase life with stems lasting 7 to 14 days depending on age and environmental conditions.
