Motorists are bracing themselves for rush-hour traffic chaos this afternoon - thanks to FIVE-WAY traffic lights. The temporary traffic lights have appeared on Leek Road, in Endon, today.

The work means there are also temporary traffic lights on the adjoining Hillswood Drive, Station Road and Clay Lake.

One long-suffering driver told StokeonTrentLive: "They have dug a big hole on Leek Road by the junction with Station Road. For a few days water has been pouring out of the kerb and grass area at the junction. Queues were all the way back to Stockton Brook earlier."

Severn Trent Water is carrying out the works on Leek Road. It is hoped that the traffic lights will have been removed by Monday, December 18.
