Malcolm Brogdon, the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year and former UVA basketball superstar, is taking some time for himself this offseason. The Milwaukee Bucks point guard was spied on TV playing the fan at Tuesday night’s matchup between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals in DC.

(If you recognize the player in the foreground, that’s Dansby Swanson, who played on the Vanderbilt team Virginia defeated in the 2015 College World Series.)
Brogdon, a native of Atlanta, is most likely at the game to support the Braves, but he also has the chance to see former UVA, current Nats stars Ryan Zimmerman and Sean Doolittle.
In his first season as a pro, ‘The President’ averaged 10.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 46% from the field and 40% from three. Brogdon started 28 games in his rookie season and helped the Bucks make the postseason (where he shot an incredible 48% from three).

ESPN ranked Brogdon #57 in their preseason Top-100 #NBARank list, saying:
“Just how out of nowhere was Brogdon's rookie-of-the-year campaign? We didn't have him ranked among the top 200 players entering 2016-17. A year later and the Bucks guard is knocking on the door for top-50 consideration. Brogdon turns 25 in December so while there are questions on just how high is ceiling stretches, there's no question that he's already a steady contributor on both ends.”
Sports Illustrated did not rank Brogdon in their Top-100 list (ohhh alright, SI).
The Bucks’ season starts up with a preseason matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on October 2nd.
