Donna M. (Forde) Martell, of Pembroke, passed away on March 23, 2023 surrounded by her family after a lengthy and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the daughter of Ann Philomena Forde of Kingston and the late Anthony Forde.
 
Donna was born on May 2, 1959 and grew up in Dorchester. After graduating high school she went on to begin her career as a hairdresser. She worked for several different salons before opening her own called "Hairs to You" in Quincy. She married the love of her life, James Martell, on September 30, 1990 and the two settled in Pembroke. She later worked at several local hair salons in the Pembroke area.
 
Donna was a bright light to all. She was easy to talk to, made friends anywhere she would go and always enjoyed a great laugh. Donna loved traveling with her husband Jim - especially to warmer places with beaches. She enjoyed reading and was a fantastic cook. Above all, family was everything to Donna.
 
Donna is survived by her loving and devoted husband James Martell of Pembroke. Her mother Ann Philomena Forde of Kingston. She was the daughter in law of the late Ruth and Joseph Martell of Bridgewater. Loving sister of John Forde and his wife Joanne of Pembroke, Paul Forde and his wife Mary Ann of St. Augustine, Florida, Robert Forde and his wife Kristine of Kingston, and Dennis Forde and his wife Ann of Weymouth. Sister-in-law of Joseph Martell and his wife Julie of Kingston, Richard Martell and his wife Melanie of Pembroke, and David Martell and his wife Kathleen of East Bridgewater. She was the proud aunt of 16 loving nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend Susan Holt of Hull. 
 
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 28th from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hanover - 551 Washington St., Rt. 53. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 29th at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Parish in Kingston - 272 Main St. Burial will be held privately by the family.
