“Noah pitched very well today,” said Liverpool coach Fred Terzini. “Shutouts against good hitting teams like CBA are at a premium, He settled in after the second inning and faced only 18 hitters in the last five innings.”
Alexander Evans scored the game’s lone run in the second inning. Evans raced home from second base on ground ball that was hit to the shortstop. The first baseman stretched to make the catch, and with the stretch he fell to the ground. Evans never stopped running and scored on the play.
That run was enough for Klasen and the Warriors (3-9).
“(Klasen) began to get ahead in the count, minimizing walks, making scoring chances tough to come by,” said Terzini. “His defense supported him making plays in between his eight strikeouts.”
Will Harrigan had two hits for the Brothers (8-3).
