Trying to go for that 1980s California beach truck look, first step are getting new tires.

Looking for some decent all terrains that have a classic look and feature white lettering on the sidewall. Snow and ice performance would be a plus.

BFG K02s were my first choice but they're expensive and apparently not that great of a tire.

Any other suggestions for an old school looking tire?

*shrug* Maybe a lot of people are hating on them because they're popular? I have found a lot of negative opinions on them from searching.

Love my KO2's with whites out. Great tire; good wear, good mileage, good ride.

KO2s are a great OP. Ive rocked them here in Alberta around 5 years (including winters).
They are quiet, good ride, almost same MPG as shitty stock tires, and tread is even.
If you dont like em though -For white letters maybe some Michelin all terrain s? Simple look and big letters. Or continentals?

My Ko2's have been great. The only gripe I have is the limited non E load options, especially if your running 16" rims. They also hydroplane easy in heavy rain, but winter performance on snow and Ice has been way better than I expected.

Check out the General Grabber AT2's - you can get them with white lettering on the sidewalls.

KO2s are one of the best all around tires ever made. There are negative reviews because they’re so common now people are buying them and have no clue what to expect when buying a high performance all terrain tire. Shoot even my mom asked me to buy her a set along with TRD wheels for her 5th gen 4runner, and she will never go off road. She said they just looked cool so that’s why she wanted it. Oh she also wants me to put a snorkel on her truck because it looks cool :D So even though my mom loves her KO2s, keep in mind you have people like that reviewing the tires.

Hankook Dynapro AT/M. White letters, great price, and long treadware.
I had KO2’s on my last Ram, they were OK but expensive and the rubber compound was very hard in the winter making them not so great in the snow.

Solid tire, and more reasonably priced than BFG.

Or maybe there are neg reviews because they are not great tires. Duratracs are way better all around, but no white raised letters available :(

I have Duratracs with raised white letters on my 2nd gen :notsure:. Had the BFGs on my 1st gen AC and they really looked cool on that truck. Both have been good tires. The Duratracs make a bit more noise as they age and at 4 years old now they are getting hard and loosing tracton. The KO2s got replaced with Yokohamas with the lettering in which were good tires but didn’t look as cool as the KO2s. Also have a set of M/S 2 Michelins that are great tires for long road trips but I turned the white lettering in cause they just didn’t look good to me with the lettering out.

Oh nice, I wasn't aware they were available. I've only had black.
