have any of you guys tried these? I’m wanting a leather feel but not a leather budget. I’m assuming they won’t be nice and snug or breathable but looking for real world reviews.

Haha I know. I’m not expecting gold. You get what you pay for. Just looking for a cheap and inexpensive option. I could always buy, put on and return if I don’t like.

Don't let the haters get to you OP.

Your best bet is to try them out yourself and see if you can deal with the fit.

Yup, they're terrible. But they're cheap so I didn't expect much, just needed something to keep the dirt off when offroading. But after about 3 months the fabric started getting tears in it from being sat on. I'm about ready to pull them off and throw them away at 6 months, it's pretty bad.

Also they don't fit well at all on my 04, tons of excess fabric you have to tuck away

Thanks @Jimmyh I've got thick skin. I’ve read enough threads to know how people are lol

With that said, I have learned more about this truck than I ever would have thought just by following TW

I’ll try em out and see how they are unless anyone else has a bad history with these.

I mean for the price you can't really "go wrong" but you definitley get what you pay for with these. The fabric wears quickly after a short time, my passenger side one is okay but the drivers side has a bunch of holes.

Exactly what I was looking for.

I would rather have a snug fit than extra fabric that looks like 90’s jnco jeans lol my seats are in great condition and I don’t do a whole lot that would tear them up. But I don’t want cheap covers that will just tear up on their own.

I bet the "hard wearing luxury material" is a fancy name for plastic. Seems like you are asking your ass to sweat on hot days

We do have the thinnest seats in any vehicle that isn't a sub compact shitbox though so I kinda get it.

Ya my seats are still in good shape but I know they are prone to tear easily, after I lifted my truck even more with 33s I was having to slide a bit more to get in and out of it and didn't want to tear the seat fabric, so I bought these crappy Dickies covers since they were only like 10 bucks. But they don't hold up well to a sliding ass in jeans everyday lol. Oh well, after 6 months I think I got $10 use out of them. Gonna step it up to something better quality next time, maybe up my budget to $15;)

I have seats out of an 04 and there just isn't much to em, theyre so thin compared to anything found in even the crappiest American car. It's clear Toyota didn't plan on fat people or tall people when they made the Tacoma, that's part of it's charm though, keeps it non bloated. But most generic seat covers fit like ass because of it.

Mine looked fine when I bought the truck a few months ago but as soon as I cleaned the interior I ended up with holes along the edge from cleaning it . I was amazed at it . Had not had a Toyota truck since 1985 and amazed at how cheap they have gotten

I have been using a good quality thick blanket which does the job and was free.

I bit the bullet and bought a set of the TRD seat covers a few years ago as my drivers seat was pretty worn out. They still look like new and handle all the abuse I throw at them. Worth the money.
