tough choice, both look killer imo. I think the silver makes the truck look a bit more classy and luxurious. Black looks a bit more "badass".

Ive I had to choose, id go silver, but constantly second guess my choice for weeks after everytime I see black rims on a taco.

The black looks good with the color matched fender flares. The Silver looks good with the black fender flares on the OR. Either color combo looks awesome though! I have a brand new silver TRD OR and I'm leaning toward the silver.

exactly what I was thinking as well, so I just ordered the black ones, I don't plan to add flares, so the black would be better. I wish I did have the black flares though.

I don't dislike the snowflakes too much on my OR, but I haven't seen the silvers on the SSM until now. I like. A lot.

did you paint your bumper yourself to match (looks like you had the OR that would have had the chrome) or replace it?

Good decision on the black, that is what I want to do shortly as well! On Ebay I noticed some of the TRD Matte Black wheels are 17x7 or 17x8, and since I'm new to this does it matter which ones to go with? My stock tire is 265/65/R17 but I plan on going to 265/70/R17. Does it matter which size?

Your truck is going to look good with the black rims.

if its 17x8 I am almost certain they are the reproduction, and they are similar in price as the oem. I would rather spend the extra few bucks for the oem ones.

    Hello,

My wheels are not TRD PRO 17x7, they are FN FX Pro 17x8 in Matte Gun Metal. Hopefully this will help in your decision. Tires are 265/70/17 BFG AT KO2 E Load, no lift.

What size tire are you planning on mounting? Do you have OEM suspension?

i will just be doing what is suggested from Toyota, 265/70/17 and I just purchased bilstein 6112/5130 set and plan to order the dever expedition leaf pack. I will have them preset at 4/3 setting, not looking for much of a lift at all.

I know is an old thread, but been looking at these rims for a long time. I cant decide on the color so I decided to eventually get the silver rims and if I don't like them, down the line I'm just going to have them powder coated black.
