March 17, the magical premiere date of Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, is simply rose petals away. But that’s not stopping the studio from giving fans short glances into the remastered enchanting world with quick clips and short scenes. The latest clip released from the company may just be one of the film’s most anticipated scenes, the classic song, “Something There.” Of course, after watching the 46-second excerpt, Disney lovers will instantaneously begin to compare the famous scene to the animated original. However, based on a quick glance, subtle, modern, and a few tweaks have been made. The teaser opens with a snowy view of the castle grounds as Belle (Emma Watson) pulls the hood up of her memorable red cloak as she watches the Beast (Dan Stevens) gently lead a white horse through the snowy courtyard. Playfully, Belle forms and tosses a delicate snowball at the Beast. In return, he throws a monster sized snowball back at Belle which comically hits her smack in the face. The snow scene swiftly transitions back into the castle as the Beast vocals play overhead in his “Something There” solo. Anyone who’s seen the animated film will know this is the place where Belle tries to teach the Beast how to eat while using utensils. However, doing what he pleases, the Beast eats his oatmeal in total beast mode. The fast glimpse of the live-action dining act you’ll notice there isn’t any beast mode oatmeal slurping, just a pleasant dining situation between the two.
Naturally, in both the animated and now the latest version this particular scene is where two characters begin to fall in love. Thankfully, the fans, however, have already fallen, as ScreenRant points out that this weekend’s box office opening ticket sales are expected to rise well above $120 million.
