When you stop and think about it, though simple in nature, Disney’s Camp Rock (and its, um, inventive sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam) brought forth many questions that, to this day, remain unresolved.
If you were a fan of the DCOM franchise, you probably have more than a few questions about the nature of the actual camp — for example, did anybody outside of Camp Rock actually think Caitlyn Gellar’s keyboard solo slapped? How many times did Camp Rockers rehearse their synchronized march to Camp Star and how long did it take them to actually get there? And perhaps the most pressing one: just how loud were Mitchie and Shane during their multiple evening serenade sessions? Well, the first few will always be a mystery but thanks to TikTok user @lexisroc we might have the answer for that last one.
Even in the OG Camp Rock, Mitchie and Shane pretty much walked around like they owned the place. And when they were together, the whole world seemed to disappear, which sounds romantic, right? Except there were ostensibly dozens of campers actually witnessing their shenanigans (i.e. them falling out and making up in song form).
In Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (yes, because that happened, in case you forgot), there’s a scene where Shane, played by Joe Jonas, and Mitchie, played by Demi Lovato, sing “Wouldn't Change A Thing” in unison… as a duet… while being literally miles apart. Until they actually meet, the pair pretty much give us a whole camp tour, while singing at the top of their lungs… in the middle of the night.
Here’s the video in case you need to jog your memory:
Well, a decade later, @lexisroc reimagined how campers might have felt during Shitchie’s memorable duet and, well, I just have one thing to say: looking back, if the parachute snack bribes weren’t enough, I’m pretty sure insomnia would have made me switch to Camp Star...
