Ezra Miller has been arrested in Hawaii once again. Best known for their roles in the Fantastic Beasts franchise and the DCEU’s upcoming standalone film The Flash, the actor was arrested on Tuesday, April 19, in Hawaii for second-degree assault.

Per the Hawaii Police Department, Miller was arrested at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday (local time) in Pāhoa, a district of Hawaii’s easternmost region known as Puna. The arrest took place following a reported incident that occurred inside a private residence.

According to a media release shared by the police, Miller reportedly became “irate after being asked to leave” the residence and then “threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut.” The woman reportedly refused medical treatment for the wound.

Miller was arrested on the road during a traffic stop at an intersection in Kea‘au, which is roughly 11 miles away from where the incident took place. They were released at around 4:05 a.m local time on Tuesday, pending further investigation of the case.

This marks the second time Ezra has been arrested on the island in less than a month. Three weeks ago, on March 28, the Hawaii Police Department also reported another incident involving the actor. That time, Miller was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident that took place at a bar in Hilo, which is just north of Kea‘au.

“Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts,” police reported at the time. The police also reported that the bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times, after which they were arrested and charged. They were released on a set $500 bail.

Per Rolling Stone, Miller’s first arrest in Hawaii might have prompted an emergency meeting at Warner Bros. to discuss the actor’s future. “According to a knowledgeable source, the consensus in the room was to hit pause on any future projects involving Miller including possible appearances in the DC Extended Universe,” the outlet reported on April 6.

These two incidents in Hawaii are also not the first time that Miller made headlines for erratic behavior. Back in 2020, they were also scrutinized after a video that appeared to show them grabbing a woman by the throat in Reykjavik, Iceland started making the rounds on social media.
