9:42 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant after issuing him a trespass notice at the Family Dollar, 324 S. Broadway.

4:04 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of third-degree assault at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road.

6:54 p.m. An officer arrested a man at the Rust Trailer Park, 621 N. Elm St., on suspicion of violating a non-harassing protection order and violating a protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcohol, controlled substances or possess or purchase weapons.

Friday, Aug. 9

6:22 a.m. An officer took a report for graffiti at Four States Tire Co., 41 N. Edith St.

9:49 a.m. An officer took a report for property damage at 1740 E. Main St.

4:17 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant in the 800 block of S. Oak St.

5:03 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of criminal mischief at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. The man reportedly smashed a windshield on a truck with a sandstone rock.

7:06 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 12 W. 13th St.

10:56 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of third-degree assault at 101 Fillmore St.

Saturday, Aug. 10

1:01 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 806 S. Broadway.

10:51 a.m. An officer cited a woman at Montezuma Park, 15 W. Montezuma Ave., with violating a never-expiring trespass order from all city parks.

12:21 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 1 N. Beech St.

12:58 p.m. An officer took a report for a theft at Big R, 1319 E. Main St.

2:50 p.m. An officer took a report for theft from a vehicle at 806 S. Oak St.

3:10 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at the Colorado West Trailer Park, 1410 N. Mildred Road.

6:40 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of disturbing the peace, destroying private property and violating bond conditions at the Sonic Drive-in, 436 S. Broadway.

6:46 p.m. An officer arrested a man at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on suspicion of second-degree assault and violation of a protection order for using a metal water bottle as a deadly weapon.

8:13 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a felony warrant at the Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road.

Sunday, Aug. 11

2:14 a.m. An officer arrested a man at 10 N. Mildred Road on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he shall have no contact, no exceptions with a woman he was seen with on the street and a protection order that states he shall not consume or possess alcohol.

7:02 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of felony DUI, alcohol protection order violation, driving while license suspended, failing to present proof of insurance, weaving and possessing open alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle at 10 N. Sligo St.

Monday, Aug. 12

10:38 a.m. An officer cited a woman with theft at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

11:07 a.m. An officer took a report for forgery after receiving a flash drive with surveillance footage from a convenience store where a man is recorded handing movie picture prop money to a cashier and deceiving the employee to purchase gas at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St. The officer states in his report he will seek a warrant on suspicion of forgery and theft.

2:19 p.m. An officer cited a man with assault after he admitted to throwing food at a restaurant employee, the officer issued the man a never-expiring trespass notice at the Arby’s, 504 S. Broadway.

2:45 p.m. An officer took a report for theft at Seventh Street Mobile Home, 600 S. Washington St.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

1:26 a.m. An officer cited a woman with violation of bond conditions and served her with a never expiring trespass order at the Maverick Country Store, 455 N. State St.
