Camilla Reid, editorial director and co-founder of Nosy Crow, will be stepping back from the day-to-day running of the pre-school and novelty list to work as an independent author on individual projects.
Reid will remain a director and shareholder of the company and her last day will be 30th September.
Kate Wilson, managing director, said: “All of us at Nosy Crow would like to thank Camilla for her absolutely extraordinary input into Nosy Crow, where she conceived, wrote and published hugely successful board book series such as Bizzy Bear and Felt Flaps and young picture books like the recently televised Pip and Posy series. She is, above all else, a creator, and so we wish her well for this exciting new phase of her career, while we hope to work with her as an author on future projects. We look forward to building on the amazingly strong legacy that she leaves.”
Reid said: "I’ve had an exhilarating 11 years working with an inspiring team of colleagues, illustrators and authors, all of whom I’ll miss enormously. Together we’ve built the pre-school and novelty list into everything I wanted it to be – beautiful, child-centred and commercially successful.
"The list is in such good health that it’s the absolute perfect moment for someone else to come in and take it to the next level. I, meanwhile, am very much looking forward to having the time and headspace to pursue my own creative projects.
"Nosy Crow will always hold a very special place in my affections but I have no doubt that Kate, Adrian and the team will take the company to even dizzier heights, and I will be cheering them on.”
