Join the Kennedy Library for an evening honoring our greatest generation and exploring World War II onscreen, onstage, and in our Museum galleries, headlined by local favorites Beantown Swing Orchestra.
From 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., visit our Museum galleries, including our special exhibit “Service and Sacrifice: World War II - A Shared Experience,” now in its final weeks (closing January 5).
At 6:00 p.m., watch a screening of select animated shorts created by Warner Brothers and Theodor Seuss Geisel, later known as Dr. Seuss, for U.S. Army training films during World War II. The cartoons feature the character they created together, Private Snafu, introduced with historical context.
From 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., Beantown Swing Orchestra leads an educational session on music from the swing era and its significance in World War II and performs the night away. We’ll have plenty of seating and dance space so you can enjoy the evening however you wish. Expect swing arrangements of holiday classics as part of the fun!
Special food and drink options will be available for purchase, and our Museum Store will be open.
A limited number of tickets will be reserved for purchase at the door; advanced purchase recommended to guarantee admission.
