Angela Guzman is a self-proclaimed “lover of words.” She is an editor who hopes to use her education in and passion for journalism to inspire and educate others. Angela has interviewed notable celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Simone Biles, Dwyane Wade, and Hugh Jackman. She currently works for HarperCollins Christian Publishing while contributing content to Thrive Global and multiple digital brands. She enjoys long walks at Target with a Starbucks drink in hand. When she’s not busy writing, she loves spending time with her husband and their two daughters.
Experience
After seven years working for USA Discounters, Ltd., Angela was hired by Virginia Beach City Public Schools as a Public Relations Associate. In 2012, Angela joined the BN Media team as an Editor and SEO Strategist. She transitioned to a Freelance Editor role after four years. While in this position, Angela became Editorial Director for K12. She composed digital content, posted to social media, and managed projects for corporations like National Geographic and Warner Bros. Angela also started contributing mainstream topic and opinion articles to The Huffington Post. For nearly 20 years Angela has also written digital content for publishing platforms like The Knot, Real Simple, and Sports Illustrated. She currently contributes to Thrive Global while working as an Editor for HarperCollins Christian Publishing.
Education
Angela graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Communications.
