New Provincial Governors have been appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
They were sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo yesterday (25).
Accordingly, the newly appointed Governors are as follows: Central Province – Prof. Sarath Abeykoon (former Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya), Southern Province – Bandula Harischandra (former senior Administrative officer), Northern Province – Nagalingam Vedanayagam (former Government Agent of Jaffna), Sabaragamuwa Province – Champa Janaki Rajaratne, Western Province – Hanif Yusuf, North-Western Province – Tissa Kumarasiri, North-Central Province – Wasantha Kumara Wimalasiri, Eastern Province – Jayantha Lal Ratnasekara, and Uva Province – Kapila Jayasekera.
