Show Your Prop Replicas from ANIMATED IPs!

Hi:

We see a scattering of prop replicas from animated properties here and there, but in an excellent thread of Bad Batch props, users woodywaverider and AxeKando were talking about the fact that we don't often see many interpretations.

So I thought I'd start a thread and see if anyone has any inspired props from animation?

I'll kick it off with few but growing props from my shelf dedicated to animation (some made, some bought):

I read a lot of comics when I was a kid. Not superheroes, but Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, etc. I always loved Gyro Gearloose from Uncle Scrooge, especially his small, robotic buddy, "Little Helper." Years ago I made a Little Helper statue out of brazed metal and a real lightbulb painted with glass paint. My dad made wooden shoes, and the hands are off of a plastic Mickey Mouse helicopter toy. It's heavy, and very solid. It feels like he could be a real live robot. I love this little guy!

I've also made a Simpsons Kirk van Houten demo tape and a Bonestorm cartridge. Also have a not-accurately-sized Futurama Slurm can, that has playing cards inside.

Love it, thanks for sharing!

Star Trek: The Animated Series S1E14, The Slaver Weapon

In the show, this was a transmogrifying device that had at least half a dozen forms. For practical reasons, had to settle on two.

I did the code and circuit (sounds, light & interactivity) while others handled the 3D modeling and printing. Biggest challenge was finding our middle ground, collaborating with folks who aren’t immersed in The RPF Mindset™ — I was pulling toward accuracy, them toward practicality — this was a DIY project that others had to be able to follow, and with finite budget and short deadline.

I built the robot, the Loc Nar, and the chrome logo from Heavy Metal.. I plan to build a version of the house one day. Maybe the ship from So Beautiful So Dangerous as well.
