Butchered hood Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel is still target for mob rivals and ‘will be lucky to survive the year’
'Bonzo' suffered grotesque facial wounds after an attack close to Glasgow's M8 motorway in May 2017

BUTCHERED hood Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel is still a target for mob rivals and will be lucky to survive the year, insiders claim.
The chilling warning came just days after six rival Lyons gang thugs were nailed for a host of savage attacks — including one that left the ex-taxi boss, 39, scarred for life.
Bonzo suffered horrendous facial injuries after being carved up with a machete in the brutal murder bid in May 2017.
But underworld sources insisted he remains a marked man and his enemies will stop at nothing until he is gone for good.
One said: “Bonzo survived the attack and survived the trial — but I’ll eat my hat if he makes it to the end of the year.
“Daniel may not have named anyone in court but he stood in the dock and said his piece.

“He was already hated but now the guilty verdicts change things. I don’t think anyone, including him, thinks he has long left.”
The insider added: “It would be a badge on someone’s lapel if they were ever able to get to him.”
A trial at the High Court in Glasgow heard how would-be assassins pursued Bonzo’s motor through the city’s streets in a 100mph chase before they rammed him off the road and launched the savage assault at Port Dundas.
It came hours after he’d watched Rangers play Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium with cab firm chief Steven Malcolm, 55.
Days later graffiti appeared in the north of Glasgow saying: “Bonzo Chop Chop.”
We told how the six were convicted on Thursday of plotting to murder him and four others with links to the Daniel crime clan.
Brian Ferguson, 37, Andrew Gallacher, 40, Robert Pickett, 53, Andrew Sinclair, 32, John Hardie, 35, and Peter Bain, 45, will be sentenced next month.
FORCE MOB BLITZ HAILED
COPS insist they’re winning the battle against gangsters after smashing two of the most ruthless crews in 18 months.
Six of the Lyons mob were last week convicted at the High Court in Glasgow of a spate of murder plots in a war against the rival Daniel clan and their cronies.
And in December 2017, nine of Scotland’s “supergang”, including Daniel associate Mark Richardson, were snared over a £200million cocaine empire and gangland attacks plus arms charges.
Then this week a tenth member of the crew, fugitive Merseysider Paul Scott, 47, was locked up for his role as the gang’s “technical expert”.
A senior detective said last night: “Painstaking work has been carried out so far that has produced brilliant results.
“A lot has been said in the past about the unified force, but what they don’t realise is we’re now able to lever intelligence like never before, leaving organised criminals nowhere to hide.”
And Detective Inspector Jim Bradley, who helped catch the Lyons mob, said: “These men are clearly seen as disposable by those in the upper echelons of crime groups. There are no winners here.”
Caged previously were Richardson, 30, David Sell, 50, Barry O’Neill, 37, Anthony Woods, 44, Francis Mulligan, 41, Michael Bowman, 30, Gerard Docherty, 42, Steven McArdle, 33, and Martyn Fitzsimmons, 37.
Also this week Lyons associates Brian Ferguson, 37, Andrew Gallacher, 40, Robert Pickett, 53, Andrew Sinclair, 32, John Hardie, 35, and Peter Bain, 45, were found guilty of the plot to murder Steven “Bonzo” Daniel.
Bonzo now drives a bulletproof motor and a police patrol car is often seen stationed outside his home in the city’s Milton.
But a source close to the Daniel clan hit back defiantly, saying Bonzo “put his big boy pants on a long time ago” and is not afraid of anyone or anything.
He added: “They tried their best when they cornered him and look at him — he’s the one still walking around with his head held high.
