Happy Birthday to you, Sir Bobby!

Sir Bobby Charlton CBE, the former Preston North End and England legend, is celebrating his birthday today - he's 82 years young.

Sir Bobby - real name Sir Robert - was injured but survived the 1958 Munich Air Disaster, playing for many more years before finally retiring in 1980.

The speedy midfielder was booked only twice in his entire career, once against Argentina in the 1966 World Cup, and once in a league match against Chelsea.

Initially, Bobby joined Preston as manager in 1973, but became player-manager the next season, after the club had been relegated. In total, he played 45 times for PNE, scoring 10 goals, attaining the title of:

"Best Preston North End Player In History, Apart From Sir Tom Finney".

Sir Bobby has a long-standing feud with his brother Jack, who played for Leeds United.

Happy Birthday, Sir Bobby!
