Anton started writing for The Spruce in March 2022, researching and interviewing experts for dozens of home tech and appliance roundups in that time. Prior to that, he contributed for over 3 years to The Spruce's technology-focused sister site, Lifewire, covering a wide range of hardware, software, and gadgets.

His experience in the consumer tech field dates back to 2007, when he worked for PC Magazine on its print publication and online content. He has also served as the editorial director for a Chicago-based communications firm specializing in educational media, leading its transition from print to digital formats.

At home, Anton enjoys growing his own collection of smart gadgets across a mix of brands and platforms. His dislikes include trying to give voice prompts to Alexa while his three kids shout their own commands to it at the same time.

Favorite Purchase

I bought a Nintendo Switch in 2018, and it has continued to be a valuable purchase not just for entertainment, but as a go-to our family can enjoy together. In particular, it helped us get through our time stuck indoors during the pandemic when options were limited.
