Experience

Lauren is a lifelong nature lover, gardener and writer. She completed the Master Gardener program through the University of Maine in 2023, but she also has years of hands-on gardening, homesteading and DIY experience under her belt.

While she is particularly passionate about pollinator and wildlife gardening and sustainable living, Lauren also enjoys writing about vegetable gardening, food preservation, DIY, native plants, small space gardening and self-sufficiency.

Lauren's work has been published by Bob Vila, Better Homes and Gardens, The Bangor Daily News, and various other gardening websites. She also runs her own homesteading and gardening blog Zero Waste Homestead.
