When does the John Lewis Black Friday sale start?
Like last year, the John Lewis Black Friday sale has started early, with the retailer choosing to release deals from the beginning of November.
Currently, the retailer has launched deals in tech, beauty, and fragrance categories, but we're sure more deals will be launched imminently for eager shoppers.
More and more retailers like John Lewis are choosing to offer early deals, which extends the discount season and gives bargain hunters more time to browse and research offers before checking out.

When is Black Friday 2024?
This year Black Friday falls on November 29, which is the day after the US Thanksgiving holiday.
The shopping event kickstarts a 'Cyber Weekend' of sale discounts which concludes on Cyber Monday (December 2).
However, there is more meaning to the Black Friday name than big discounts and bundles as some assume.
Over the last decade, Black Friday has become a global phenomenon, with thousands of international retailers taking part in the annual sale event.
Many retailers like John Lewis are launching Black Friday sales in advance of November 29, so bargain hunters have even longer to find the best Black Friday deals.
Does John Lewis have a Price Promise?
Regular John Lewis shoppers will be aware of the retailer's famous Never Knowingly Undersold pledge.
It means if you find an item for a lower price from one of John Lewis' rival retailers within seven days of purchasing, John Lewis will refund you the difference.
There are over 25 retailers where this pledge applies and shoppers can check online for the full list.
It's very straightforward to claim, simply:
- Check you qualify for a price promise refund by comparing prices online.
- Head to the John Lewis website to fill out the form within 7 days of your purchase.
- If you’re eligible, John Lewis will refund the difference to your original payment method.
When does the John Lewis Black Friday sale end?
Cyber Monday is usually an online-only sale event and typically marks the end of the Black Friday deals.
The John Lewis Black Friday sale usually ends at midnight on Cyber Monday, which this year falls on December 2.
Previously, different departments at John Lewis launched offers on separate dates, so it could be that some price reductions continue after Cyber Monday.
But, that remains to be seen.
John Lewis will be adding new offers throughout November, so it’s definitely worth checking the website regularly to avoid missing out on all the best Black Friday deals.
When is Cyber Monday 2024 and is John Lewis taking part?
This year, Cyber Monday falls on December 2.
It is always on the first Monday immediately after Black Friday and usually concludes the offers for the Cyber Weekend.
Cyber Monday was traditionally the online counterpart to Black Friday.
There has been a shift towards offering deals online throughout November, so Cyber Monday is now considered the end date of most sales.
Many retailers will offer discounts right up until midnight, however, some of the most popular items tend to sell out fast.
So you will want to move quickly if you see a bargain you don't want to miss out on.
When do the John Lewis Cyber Monday deals end?
Generally, Black Friday sales tend to last until Cyber Monday – though some do continue long into December.
In theory, Cyber Monday - which is on 2 December this year - will be the final day of the 2024 Black Friday sales.
However, some retailers can be generous and extend their deals.
It's worth checking out the John Lewis website after Cyber Monday to see if any of its Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts will continue.
But I wouldn't wait until Cyber Monday to shop your favourite items, as you could run the risk of missing out on your must-have purchase that was reduced.
So, if you want to secure a specific item while it is on sale, I suggest you do that by midnight on Cyber Monday, if not earlier in the Cyber Weekend sale.

How much does John Lewis delivery cost?
Delivery costs £4.50 on orders under £50, while purchases over £50 are delivered for free – though there are exceptions for large items and some items being delivered to non-UK mainland locations.
Alternatively, you can click and collect for free on orders over £30, or arrange a Collect+ delivery to a location near you for £2.50.
Smaller items are usually delivered within five working days.

Does John Lewis offer any other discounts?
If you're an NHS worker you can get extra discounts at John Lewis using the Health Service Discounts website.
Students can save on purchases from the department store via the Student Beans website, and discounts include an extra £50 off the Macbook Air.
It's worth also checking voucher code sites like Sun Vouchers, which regularly publish any discount codes you can use with online purchases to get extra money off.
