For the last 10 minutes of the programme, Alan and Sarah were joined by "master of all things rum related" Ian Burrell.

"Ian, you're rather a grand title - what is it?" Alan asked.

The guest replied: "The global ambassador for rum!"

Alan joked back: What a rotten job. Sarah can you imagine having to do that for a living?"

The actress, who is most well known role playing Stevie Sutton in the popular BBC One show, giggled back: "Someone has got to do it!"

The booze expert explained that over the last few years there has been a rise in British rum distilleries and decided to pick out some of his favourites to try out.

Sarah admitted that she was excited to try out what was in front of her because she's never been a huge fan of rum, apart from when she was in her twenties and used to drink the classic rum and coke.

They started off with some Mattuga spiced rum from Scotland and then they got drinking another called Scratch, made all the way in Hertfordshire.

The third brand they tried was a rum made in Portsmouth called Cinnaba - and the pair couldn't get over its unique blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and peppers.

Ian paired it with Sekford tonic - an infusion of chocolate, mint and lime - to create a mojito style drink for them to enjoy.

Alan couldn't get over the amazing taste and said: "I know what I like, but this is lovely to taste something.

"It still gives that lovely hit. I don't mean too much, you know, just a good 'oh that's nice'".

After three drinks, the strong alcohol may have gone to his head a bit as he continued: "What P. G. Wodehouse used to call a 'stiffener'. I like a 'stiffener' and that's a 'stiffener'".

Sarah butted in and said: "I don't think you can say that anymore, can you?"

"I just did," Alan hit back.

Alan's cheeky comment comes after he revealed the nightmare moment a Hollywood legend stormed out of heated TV interview on his show last month.

He told fellow presenter Tim Vincent that he caught the ire of none other than Bette Davis.

Between them, the pair have interviewed some pretty big names and Vincent revealed that Bruce Willis and Kanye West have walked out on him.

Alan had one up on his guest and said: "I think I can beat you there. Bette Davies walked out on me.
