The actress, who is best known for playing receptionist Morwenna in the programme, opened up on filming one emotional scene.
She and Alan watched the tear-jerking scene, which sees lead actor Martin Clunes, who plays Dr Martin Ellingham, saying goodbye to one another after the series came to an end.

"Come on Doc, I know you better than that," she replies, to which he adds: "Thank you, Morwenna. You've been very, very good."
Watching the clip back in the studio, Alan and Jessica looked emotional, as the gardener cleared his throat and held back tears.
Jessica told him: "It's zero acting really, it's just actual sadness."
Wiping away his tears, Alan replied with a cracking voice: "Well, yes, we are both a bit emotional aren't we?"

"From a viewer's point of view - oh how ridiculous, it's not real. Heaven's above! But we carried along with you, and got to know you."
It comes after lead actor Martin Clunes ended his 18-year stint on Doc Martin after starring in the Christmas special.
Martin's 18-year stint as the ITV show's lead came to an end last year with one last Christmas special.
It aired its final episode after 10 series on Boxing Day.
During the show viewers saw GP Martin Ellingham, who is played by Martin, respond to an emergency callout.
He treated a patient who had sustained head and leg injuries after a fall, but was trapped in a light snowfall while caring for the woman.
Dr Ellingham then received another emergency call and dashed to the casualty - but crashed his car in the storm.
After suffering hypothermia and hallucinating about his dead mother, Martin still managed to reach his patient.
But viewers were quick to complain about the scenes, and hit out that the final episode was "confusing".
