An award-winning journalist, Michael Doyle has worked with the Irish Sun since 2006, having previously worked with the Irish Mirror and as a court reporter in the Four Courts. He has covered some of the country's most high profile criminal trials, as well five General Elections, international stories for the paper in Haiti, Israel and Spain and covered 13 Cheltenham Festivals. He also comprehensively and compassionately covered the Stardust Inquest and was a key team member in the making of The Stardust Tragedy podcast.  Micheal was a also a key contributor to the award-winning Kinahans podcast, which has close to two million downloads. As a senior news reporter Micheal is the recipient of four Justice Media Awards, including the overall JMA prize in 2023 for coverage of Gerry Hutch murder trial, and in 2021 was named the Newsbrands Popular Features Writer of the Year. A multi-section reporter, Michael works in areas including newspoliticscrime, courts and sport.
