Baby girl Lana Vivienne was born in Holles Street, Dublin, and is their first festive baby.

And she was mum Roxanne O'Sullivan and dad Niall Fagan's first tot, born at 1.03am weighing 3.63kgs.

The National Maternity Hospital took to Twitter to congratulate the delighted couple.

They said: "Warmest congratulations to Roxanne O'Sullivan & Niall Fagan on the birth of their 1st baby girl, Lana Vivienne who entered the world at 1.03am.

"Lana Vivienne is Holles Street's 1st Christmas Baby.

"Speaking with proud Dad, Niall, he said they are absolutely over the moon."

And the hospital welcomed the first Christmas Day baby boy at 3.30am.

Baby Jack was born to doting parents Lauren Haynes and Nicholas Sweeney this morning, and he is the couple's first tot.

And elsewhere, another excited couple welcomed another baby girl into the world this Christmas Day.

Baby Juliette May was born in Cork University Maternity Hospital at 6.53am, a couple of days before her due date.

Dad Ambrose told the Irish Sun that both mum and baby are both doing well.

He said: "We're all doing very good. The 29th was the due date, but the baby decided to come early."

CHRISTMAS DELIGHT

This is the couple's second tot, as they already have a little boy who they can't wait to introduce to his baby sister.

And Ambrose told us he and his partner are "over the moon" to now have both a girl and a boy, and that they are excited about the new addition to the family.

Because baby Juliette was born early, the couple had to put Christmas plans on hold until she comes home from the hospital.

Ambrose said: "We had no Santy for our other boy, we had to put away the presents again, so we'll do it again during the week."

Meanwhile, proud parents Aoife and Gary McCormack welcomed their little bundle of joy at 2.48am on Christmas morning.
