Trigger good but doesn't fit wooden rim bass drums
Anthony549 11.04.2016
Trigger is fine but it doesn't fit the Tama Superstar Hyperdrive range of drums. The bass drum has a wooden rim which is deeper than other kit. The screws then don't fit. However i rigged up with some spare aluminium. Trigger works fine most the time once it is in the right postion.
Pro's
Metal holster.
Good trigger response.
Works fine with Roland SPD-SX
Con's
Does not fit deep rims.
Trigger can be over sensitive.
Conclusion
The DDrum trigger DDTK trigger might be twice the price but it might be a better choice.

Trigger Response

If you enjoy hearing 100 sounds after hitting once this is the trigger for you. This has not only cost me too much for what it is it has disappointed me so much as well.

great trigger
David5924 20.04.2015
This trigger does exactly what it's supposed to do.
I switched from a rubber e-pad to using this plus bass drum plus mesh head and I am very pleased.
First off it was very easy to attach, so long as you have a fairly standard drum hoop you should be grand. The bass drum head just needs to be tensioned as normal, it doesn't need to be super tight or loose to get the right response from the trigger
After I found the tension that works I could begin to appreciate the triggers' performance. I play very fast double bass and the trigger can easily keep up with me on my best day! The responsiveness is great too; feather touch, hammer strike and everything in between; so long as your module can pick it up.
If you're choosing between this or a rubber pad I would recommend this trigger; hitting a drum feels a lot more natural, and is a lot less tiring on your feet, than hitting a lump of rubber.
Great product overall, does the trick.
