Pluto absolutely is a planet. The schools and university, that I graduated from taught me such. They along with the states that I hold a valid Professional Surveyor license also agree that I know math and the measurement of land.

Building a homestead/camp now in southeast MS. Small barndo, 1.5 acre pond and 1 acre field, on 160 acres that is mostly young timber. I think 1 acre of Ag is plenty for personal food. I will need more cleared if I want animals later.

Its is way out in the sticks and if I could have afforded high dollar land, a short ride to a mid sized town would be way better. Anywhere 50 -100 miles off the gulf coast (FL-LA) would suit me.

That’s all I get? South east but not too far south. Southern Arkansas, east Texas, north of I-10 Louisiana.

Of course I can do better with a long growing season like in Hackberry but who tf wants to live in coastal La. I’d rather die in a rare Arkansas snow storm than a Louisiana hurricane

South Louisiana. Basically where I am.

Why?

I've traveled all over. I've lived 7 or 8k miles from here.

This feels like home.

There is a part of me that wants to say the north shore of Kauai because it is our favorite place on Earth but island fever would definitely set in.

So the real answer would be Lake Tahoe. GORGEOUS lake, decent skiing and just a couple of hours from Yosemite, 3 hours from Napa and both Sacramento and San Francisco are close enough to make either day or weekend trips to avail ourselves of bigger city stuff.

I already have 20 acres in central AL in a "mountain" valley. So I guess just give me 20 more next to me?

do i have to worry about employment? If so that limits me a bit. If not, it would be somewhere in a valley in the Ozarks.
