After my eyes opened up to the incredible lengths media will go to sustain a narrative... I'd put it at 3:50

I doubt they're giving out answers, but something has changed with the production of the show to keep producing more and more repeat champions. I think the producers decided that repeat champions are better for ratings.

Weak competition. You hardly ever get a game with 2 good players anymore. They just line up a bunch of scrubs so that someone good can cruise.

I knew some frickery would happen once Trebek passed away, and they would start to become concerned about dropping ratings.

If you will forgive my immodesty, but I could wipe the floor with HIS competition so far.

They can manipulate other aspects beyond just giving out answers. Choose mediocre opponents. Have categories where the champ is strong or have categories where they know the opposition is weak. Slow the buttons for the challengers.

I suspected something was going on during Matt Amodeo's run. He wasn't always that quick on the draw, but it didn't matter when the other contestants would just roll over or leave easy Final Jeopardy's blank. How the dell do not at least make a guess?

I know from reading comments by verified contestants on reddit's Jeopardy! sub that test scores are not the only factor in getting selected to appear. They factor in interviews and "personality," and qualified contestants can wait long periods of time for producers to call them back when it's right for them to appear.

I'm kind of nostalgic for the Jeopardy of my childhood when you'd see eccentric retirees or mousy school teachers saying 'hi' to the students and friends back home in Iowa. The current show is more geared towards featuring quiz bowl circuit regulars who can master the buzzer and act cocky. We also see a lot more Jeopardy contestants appearing on other shows now.

I was convinced that Matt Amodeo lost on purpose. I think he wanted out for some reason..

It would be huge if something came out that it was fixed for this shim.. Think about all the lawsuits from the people that lost to it..

I think they’re purposely matching this dude up with crappy players so that he keeps winning and it makes news.

No, they aren’t. That’s not a woman. You can’t change your gender or chromosomes. Sorry.

I agree. I like seeing every day people and not just quiz bowl needs.
Though I play along at home and I think I could take Amy.
My best skill in life is a trove of useless knowledge. I'm just weak on non American sports and literature.
