Look around. We're in the midst of our fall right now, and most of us are either in denial or completely oblivious.

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

greed will end america...

Nothing wrong with greed as long as you worked for the money and you price your good or service if determined fair enough that people will voluntarily purchase your good or service.

The greed that is bad is when government picks winners and losers, and they force you to purchase their goods or services at the point of a gun

before Caesar there was Cornelius Felix Sulla and Gaius Marius. the civil war between these factions pretty much set the table for Caesar becoming a prominent political figure and his ascension to Rome's highest office, the Consulship.

if Caesar didn't flee Rome, Sulla would have probably killed him during the purge. there was a list nailed to the Senate Chambers and everyday the list got longer.

Things do not happen in the blink of an eye. It's the culmination of many many years when a power falls. Even if it takes 100 years for the US to fall, centuries from now the fall of the US will be seen as starting in 1964 and accelerating through present day. We are living in the fall of the US just as people in Rome in the year 400 were living through what would happen in 476.

The fall of the Roman empire as a singular event occurred over 100 years.

We are actually living in America 5.0.

1.0 Articles of Confederation
2.0 Constitution of 1789
3.0 Reconstruction
4.0 New Deal
5.0 Great Society

We live in LBJ's Great Society America.

Running with this premise, I would say we are in the end of the Great Society Era and are experiencing the fallout from the terrible decisions made that created this era. We may be alive at the end of this one and the beginning of whatever comes next. Won't be boring thats for sure.

No argument from me. Just pointing out that he exposed the playbook.

No empire can last the will of time.

The US will fall one day. Especially on the path that we’ve taken. We’re broke and bankrupt, and this won’t change for a long time. We’re being invaded and our own politicians support it.

The Roman Empire didn't fall. It became the Vatican through stolen funds.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.

I think the point I was trying to make missed many on here.

The Kingdom of God is the only permanent one. Everything on this earth is temporary. Whether you like it or not, this country will be replaced by something one day.

Yeah budget deficits of 3 trillion dollars and national debt of 34 trillion sounds really liquid to me.

Credit card debt over a trillion dollars.

Over half of the country lives paycheck to paycheck.

Sounds really sustainable.
