Tokyo Bound: Gardner native, Royals farmhand Bubba Starling selected to US Olympic baseball team
Gardner, Kansas native and former Kansas City Royals first-round draft pick Bubba Starling is heading to Tokyo to play for the United States Olympic baseball team.Starling, who is currently playing centerfield with the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Royals' AAA squad, was announced as part of the team on Friday.
