The city provides a backdrop for the hapless singleton's escapades, from her romantic encounters to her epic career fails. We've rounded up a selection of Bridget Jones London movie locations so that you can you follow in the footsteps of this loveable literary heroine.

Bridget Jones's Baby

• Bridget's apartment: The Globe Tavern, Borough Market - Bridget's iconic bachelorette pad features in all three films but plays a starring role in "Bridget Jones's Baby", from the opening scene to the moment that she goes into labor. It sits above the Globe Tavern in Borough Market, one of the city's oldest and biggest food markets. The tavern underwent an extensive revamp in 2015 and is now a posh gastropub that serves craft beer and classic British bar snacks like a Scotch eggs and sausage rolls. 
• Bridget tells Mark Darcy the news: Lincoln's Inn - Bridget delivers the all-important baby news to Mark Darcy while he's at work in his barrister's chambers at the Inns of Court near Holborn. Step back in time and explore the secret world of legal London with a stroll around the 13th-century Inns and look out for the office where Charles Dickens worked at the age of 15. 
• Antenatal classes: London Aquatics Centre - Bridget and the two men in her life prepare for her baby's arrival with antenatal classes at the London Aquatics Centre. This Zaha Hadid-designed pool complex was used for all swimming and diving events at the London 2012 Olympics. 
• Views over London: Greenwich Park - Bridget announces her pregnancy to her dad and catches up with best friend Shazza over sandwiches in Greenwich Park. From the top of this Royal Park in south London, the views stretch from the O2 Arena to St Paul's cathedral. 

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

• The opening scene: Primrose Hill - The sequel opens with Bridget imagining herself frolicking on Primrose Hill with Mark Darcy in a parody of the Sound of Music. It's definitely worth hiking up to the top of the hill on the northern side of Regent's Park as the views are spectacular. Pack a picnic and linger over the skyline vistas. ZSL London Zoo and Camden's bustling markets are within walking distance.  
• The famous fight scene: Kensington Gardens - Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver's ongoing feud continues with a fist fight in Kensington Gardens. The brawl starts outside the Serpentine Gallery and ends with an epic water fight in the fountains of the Italian Garden. The 265-acre royal park is also home to Kensington Palace, the Albert Memorial and the Peter Pan Statue. 
• Lingerie shopping: Rigby & Peller, Mayfair - Bridget squeezes into a corset at this luxury lingerie store on Conduit Street in Mayfair. Rigby & Peller was founded in 1939 and has been the official corsetier to the Queen since 1960. While in the area, explore Mayfair's designer boutiques and posh bars and restaurants. 
• The quiz that went wrong: Middle Temple - Middle Temple is one of London's four ancient Inns of Court and provides a fitting backdrop for the Annual Law Council Quiz in which Bridget nails the pop culture round but fails to answer the winning question on Madonna. The stunning building survived the Great Fire of London and both World Wars. Non-members can enjoy lunch in the Elizabethan Hall on weekdays during legal term time but tables must be booked in advance. 

Bridget Jones's Diary

• The other famous fight scene: Bedales of Borough - This wine shop and bar masqueraded as the Greek restaurant in which Daniel Cleaver and Mark Darcy get into a battle over Bridget and end up fighting both inside and out on the street. Stop for a glass of wine from an impressive menu that features bottles from around the world. It also serves sharing plates of charcuterie and cheese. 
• Bridget's live broadcast: Royal Courts of Justice - Housing the High Court and the Court of Appeal, this gothic masterpiece on the Strand provided the backdrop for Bridget's botched attempt to cover a legal hearing during a live broadcast for Sit Up Britain. Guided tours are available throughout the year but must be booked in advance.
• Bridget's book launch: The ICA - Bridget delivers a painfully awkward speech at the book launch of "Kafka's Motorbike" at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on The Mall. More commonly known as The ICA, this cultural arts center champions radical art and hosts regular exhibitions, lectures, gigs, films, and late-night events.
