Ruiru, Kiambu: It is a sad day for prominent businessman Gibson Murage Gitonga, who owns Modern Furniture Pacific, as one of his huge stores is on fire.

Where did Gibson Murage's business start?
A video shared by @neo_media on TikTok shows clouds of smoke billowing from the huge Ruiru store, launched in 2024.
He sells beds, sofa sets, dining tables, and chairs, among other types of furniture.

Murage, a former mtumba clothes seller, ventured into the furniture business in Nyeri and made a fortune for himself.
Being an ambitious young man, he opened branches in Nairobi with a lot of pomp as well.
The expansion has seen him venture into his latest store, which is in Nakuru county.
Kenyans who had been admiring his progress were sad after they saw his hard work in the Ruiru store go up in flames.

Gibson Murage sponsors Dem wa Facebook to Dubai
Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that comedian Millicent Ayuwa, popularly known as Dem wa Facebook, disclosed the generous sponsor who made her dream trip to Dubai a reality.
The rising star departed Kenya on Friday, December 6, for a fully paid five-day holiday.
Dem wa Facebook revealed that her trip, alongside fellow content creators Swing and Mbote, was financed by Murage.
Gibson Murage involved in road accident
Not long ago, Murage counted his blessings months after surviving an accident in China.
Photos from the scene showed the two vehicles with large dents, one at the front and the other in the rear.
Fans of the businessman sent him goodwill messages while thanking God for saving his life.
