JGC said module installation work on the floater is already completed at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje Island yard in South Korea and construction work is in its final stages.
“Commissioning is well and truly under way,” added the Japanese contractor.
Once the work at Samsung is completed, the FLNG unit will be towed to its field location off Western Australia.
