ABC’s Home Improvement follows the day-to-day life of the Taylor family, which consists of Tim (Tim Allen), his wife, Jill (Patricia Richardson), and their three sons: Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan), Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) and Mark (Taran Noah Smith).
Other characters include the Taylors’ neighbor and go-to problem-solver Wilson W. Wilson (Earl Hindman), Tim’s best friend Albert “Al” Borland (Richard Karn) and Heidi Keppert (Debbe Dunning), the “Tool Girl” for Tim’s home improvement show called Tool Time.
Home Improvement aired for eight seasons from 1991 to 1999. The series earned two Golden Globe Award and two Emmy Award nominations. Allen won the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 1996.
