Sarah Snook is just months away from becoming a mom for the first time.
The actor revealed that she is expecting her first child with her husband Dave Lawson at the season 4 premiere of *Succession—*the TV show she stars in—on Monday. Snook put her baby bump on display on the red carpet, wearing a form-fitting black jumpsuit under a silver, floor-length duster which she paired with a diamond collar necklace, cradling her growing stomach in a number of shots. The actor told Entertainment Tonight of her impending motherhood, “It's exciting!,” adding, “I feel great.” When asked how much longer she has until the baby's arrival, she said, “Not too much longer, two months. Well, I'm 32 weeks, so.”
Snook also confirmed that she finished up filming this final season of the show while fully pregnant. “Yeah, I mean, you couldn't tell. It's not super big at the moment, but still. There's a lot of beach balls being held in front of me and umbrellas.” She laughed before adding sarcastically, “Yeah, no. That's very Succession.” When asked if her co-star and father of two Kieran Culkin gave her any words of wisdom as a first-time parent, the actor replied, “Oh yeah, terrible parenting advice. Terrible parenting advice, no.” She laughed before adding, “We've all become really close, like actual siblings,” noting that the fact the series is coming to an end is “a bummer, because it's such a beloved show by both the people creating it, and the people watching it. But I think going out on a high is also a powerful thing.”
Snook and her Australian comedian husband wed during a small ceremony held in their backyard in Brooklyn in 2021. In an October 2021 cover interview for Vogue Australia, the Succession star said of their COVID-19 romance, “At the beginning of the pandemic last year, I got locked down in Melbourne with one of my best mates and we fell in love.” She went on to explain, “We’ve been friends since 2014, lived together, travelled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic. We’ve just never been single at the same time.” From there, the pair's relationship progressed quickly with Snook proposing shortly before they wed in February 2021 with Snook's housemates and her Succession co-star Ash Zukerman serving as witnesses. “We had matching Blunnies,” she said of the intimate affair. “It’s been a ride. There’s so much heartache and sadness in the world, but on a micro personal level, I’ve been very fortunate. There’s a really lovely grace in that without the pandemic, we might not have ended up together so quickly.”
