A magistrate has ordered that something be done about this diseased tree at Water oak.

The parent company of Water Oak appears to be ignoring a special magistrate’s order to take care of a diseased tree in the yard of a homeowner in the gated-community in Lady Lake.

Michigan-based Sun Communities Inc. on Dec. 15 had been given 10 days to remedy the diseased tree located at 101 W. Pine Drive within the Water Oak community. Special Magistrate Valerie Fuchs ordered that Sun Communities would be fined $250 per day beginning Christmas Day if nothing was done about the tree. No one from Sun Communities showed up for the hearing.

As of this Sunday, no work appears to have taken place.

The homeowner who lives under the tree in question has reported damage to his home from the tree.

Sun Communities, owns and operates a portfolio of 235 communities across the United States comprising approximately 88,400 developed sites.
