Crimson-colored hair was predicted to sweep the heads of Hollywood's finest this season, and it seems the prophecy is coming true. First Anne Hathaway, then Cardi B and now Nicole Kidman. The actress traded in her blonde blowout for a set of fiery curls that recalled her signature 90’s style.
To transform for her latest project, HBO's The Undoing, Kidman stepped out in Manhattan this week with a brand new texture and deep strawberry color. While the actress has been sporting platinum lengths for the better part of the decade, she is now back to hair of yesteryear—the shade that she wore when her career launched many moons ago—and fans couldn't be happier.
Bursting onto the scene in the 80s and early 90s, Kidman made a name for herself as the ultimate redhead. With her leading lady curls in tow, the actress sidekicked as Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever, cozied up to Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut and danced her way around Paris in Moulin Rouge! For the latter role, the perfect shade of red was rumored to have taken Kidman and director Baz Luhrmann multiple tries to get right. Although the dye job may be short lived this time as the Australian beauty wraps her mini-series, here's to hoping it's not forever a thing of the past.
