For the family wedding, Shloka Ambani turned to a powder pink lehenga that comprised a light-as-air skirt, sleeveless blouse and a matching dupatta with delicate ruffle trim. Speaking of its details, the designers revealed, “This custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Couture ensemble exudes modern romance and is a veritable masterpiece of craftsmanship. The ghagra is in old rose georgette and features mirror work. Its dupatta is hand-embroidered in 3D floral motifs in intricate light gold mirror, naqshi and silver and gold sequins.” With this look, Shloka Ambani resorted to the foolproof styling formula: pairing a pared down lehenga with a conversation-starter blouse. “Shloka wore a cutwork blouse, hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals and featured a nude crystal jewelled back,” they added. The see-through back not only gave the illusion of being completely backless, but also wearing a multi-layered necklace, thanks to the strings of crystals it featured.

Shloka Ambani rounded off her eye-catching look with gem-encrusted jewellery to add contrast to the otherwise pastel lehenga. Her choices: a choker layered with matching earrings, a maang tikka and bangles that were all embedded with diamonds and emeralds. Her makeup artist, Loveleen Ramchandani, mirrored the frosted pink colour palette of the ensemble with Ambani’s shimmery lids and nude lip colour. Ambani’s hair was tied up in a half-up, half-down ‘do to keep flyaways in place for a night that included dancing.
