Great location

The apartment is very nice, good space for a city apartment. We had 6 friends staying and we were quite comfortable. Kitchen layout doesn’t allow for that many people to eat but we were eating out anyway (big table, had to crawl underneath for people to sit on one of the sides!) Check in instructions were a bit confusing but we were able to get in touch with owner easily. Door knob was very loose, made it difficult to lock the door, ultimately fell off on the last day trapping me inside. Hopefully owner got that fixed - he did dispatch a locksmith to get me out but I managed to escape on my own!

New Years Family Stay

Property came as advertised. The location is wonderful. Lot’s of restaurant choices and shopping. Easy walk to Central Park etc. The host was super easy to reach and respond to any need. He was very flexible as needed. We would stay at this property anytime.

Great location and sleeps a lot!

This is the best location on the upper east side in NYC. It worked out well for us a family of 6. Only downside is the small community space to all gather in.

Deceiving description

This property was not as described. It was not luxurious, opulent or chic. There are no views other than city streets, fire escapes or someone’s closet in another building. The furnishing are not plush nor are the linens premium unless you count well worn mismatched target towels premium. The bathrooms are not spa like nor do they have rain showers or soaking tubs. There are no operating instructions for anything nor info on what to do with your trash. All I can say is that it was clean and in a convenient area. We had several issues and the host was helpful. There were multiple leaks, toilet, sinks, and radiator, , and a loud hissing radiator that created a sauna in the unit. The entry door to the building was not locked, tho that was resolved by the end of our stay. The hallway leading up to the unit is dingy and dirty. This is a very basic unit and it worked for our time there but I would not stay there again. I was very disappointed because the description of the unit was someone’s fantasy and not the actual apartment.

You’re on your own if there’s an issue

We had no hot water for a day and a problem with central heat (extreme heat and steam from a broken radiator valve) in one of the bedrooms. We ended up calling the fire department for resolution as the property manager was unresponsive from midnight to 8a at the 24/7 number provided. No fire/smoke alarm in unit. Host not amenable to partial refund or conversation about inconveniences during our stay.

Good location

The photos of the apartment while accurate to what was in the apartment, weren’t accurate as to the space. Our checkin was difficult because the information about the door code location wasn’t clear. Also, there was a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom. We contacted the landlord and he said someone was going to come and take a look at it but as far as we know, it didn’t happen. The location was good. There was no elevator, but it was easy to get in and out once we figured out the codes. Very, very small livingroom and bedrooms. There was no information about where to take garbage so since there were six of us, we ended up with three large bags of garbage that we had to keep in the apartment. Overall, our stay was ok but we wouldn’t come back.

Pros: convenient location, safe location, clean Cons: 1. no blankets for futon bed and air mattress - a big miss for November in NYC. 2. When we contacted owner about blankets, they were unresponsive for a while then made an excuse. 2 people in our group were cold 2 nights of our stay 3. The heat/AC unit in 1 room stopped working 4. The living room with the futon bed had 2 windows and a sliding glass door, but no curtains- unfortunate for the person in that room

Amazing 4 bedroom rental!!

We loved renting this apartment! The four bedrooms, 2.5 baths were perfect for our crew of 6! We adored the quintessential fire escape out one of the windows and the balcony with comfy furniture! The kitchen was gorgeous and bathrooms were so up to date and pretty! The kitchen table was very large, so much so that we couldn’t use one side of it, but the 3 seats we used were very nice! The couch was comfy and pulls out into a bed. We had a slight issue putting the door code in the first time, however the owner quickly FaceTimed me and told us what we were doing wrong! None of the bedrooms had dressers, but we didn’t have an issue with that because each room had nice size closets! There was an extremely nice washer and dryer in the unit, unfortunately we weren’t able to take advantage of it due to not having detergent. The apartment was 2/3 blocks from the subway station. Overall I would 100% recommend this property for a large group or family! Bonus: there’s a Starbucks right next door!

This place will be our go-to for every trip to NYC. Our family of six had plenty of room, the place was so clean, and most importantly the host was available 24/7 via text - very important in the Big City. We highly recommend this VRBO and host. Thank you for making our stay in NYC so enjoyable!

Great stay in a safe and quiet area

The stay was great! Was able to drop bags early and come back right at check-in time. Little low on dishes, towels and blankets for a bigger group but there is supplies and washer dryer in unit to clean everything yourself if you need more.

Nice for large family, good location

Our family of 8 stayed 4 nights. The unit was ready on time and seemed very clean. In the front bedrooms there is a lot of street noise, but quiet in back. The living room is incredibly small -- only 3 people at a time could be in there. We were unable to utilize the outdoor seating bevause workers next door shouted "¡Cuidado!" every time we tried, so we took their advice! I did find a few odd or annoying things that would keep me from 5/5... a pair of pants & underwear on the floor from a previous renter, the toaster requires you to hold down the leber the whole time, and one or two of the A/C remotes are missing.

Clean and Cool near Central Park

Apartment was clean and the a/c worked well. Beds were comfortable and kids had plenty of room to spread out in this unusually large (for NYC Manhattan) 4 bedroom located close to Central Park.

Wonderful place

The apartment was awesome plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 small children. Good neighborhood and very close to Central Park. We walked to the Park several days and enjoyed Central Park Zoo. Easy access to busses and subway got us to museum of history, Time Square, Lego and Harry Potter stores. Lots of really good restaurants close by too. Really excellent burgers at Jackson Hole restaurant just short walk from apartment. Would absolutely use this great place again.

Great location, lots of beds!

We had a large group (6 adults, 1 child) and we fit in this place just fine. The kitchen is complete, the place was clean, the location was great. Close to a couple of stations, with grocery, coffee, etc very close by. There is a nice little balcony that we used and enjoyed. Parking is on your own, but the left turn lane in front of the building makes a convenient double park area to unload and load. If we had a large group, we'd stay here again!

Loved Lenox Hill livin’!

A spacious and safe home base for our family’s NYC adventures. Entire place was clean and comfortable. The 2.5 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms perfectly fit our family of 5. Laundry was a huge plus too. Whether walking to Central Park, Museum Mile, or Upper Eastside eats or exploring all the city offers - perfect location!

Well located but overrated appartment

Ideally located, close to central park and subway.this being aside, very disapointing. Bumpy arrival, poor information to open front door. Very small common living space, only 6 chairs available... for 8 people. And not possible to install more around the table, no space so no possible to eat together. Request to have 2 extra stools... maybe sir. Despite repeated calls, no extra tools made available. Two people have to eat standing looking at their friends, or eat after. No broom or anything to clean up appartment, so after a week floor was very dirty and unpleasant. Kitchen ok, but only one pan to cook! Very little and poor quality furniture, One small table by the poor quality beds. only TV is good quality. Not well isolated, very cold in living room by the windows. Floor also very cold and not isolated. Quite noisy in the 2 bedrooms by the street, also due to very poor isolation. dirty roof due to obvious water damages. So very very expensive and quite poor service / quality.
