The location was good. There were shops, cafes, bakeries, takeaways and a pub within walking distance. The beach was within walking distance too. There was a small swimming pool and sun terrace that was relaxing.

Ok but staff unhelpful.
The ‘self parking onsite’ is a Wilson car park down the road. The lady at check in didn’t know how to charge so I ended up paying $15 for 30 mins then $70 on top for a 48 hour ticket I sourced myself. Booked a 2 bed apartment advertised as having 2 king size beds. Fact was 2 singles in each room. When I questioned this with the same lady in reception said ‘that’s just how we do things here’. Long wait for the lifts. Overall location to centre is good. Just major roadworks around the hotel makes it difficult to access.

Warm welcome at Reception and accommodation was spacious with everything we needed. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, local shopping and nice restaurants. Short drive to Queen Elizabeth Park and shopping centre in Paraparaumu and Kapiti island is just off the coast. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice and large apt. Split in 2 floors.
The apartment is ample and comfortable. Kitchen is OK and the lounge is nice and confortable. Bed was a bit soft for our taste but good and comfortable. The bathroom is ample and OK. Cleaningness is good and the photos represent the reality (as of March 2019). Car park can be extremely annoying/challe ging depending on the spot you get. I would recommend and stay again in this property at the right cost.

Raumati Sands
We stayed here as an overnight break while travelling from Taupo to Wellington. Very helpful receptionist - we arrived late and he phoned the Waterfront restaurant to make sure they would still be able to serve us food. Had the weather been better we would have stayed longer than the one night we had booked as it looked a lovely area.

Not too much going on unless the sun shines!
Very friendly owners and pleasant staff. Comfortable and a really good sized apartment with a full-sized kitchen, but the pool is very tired looking. There were some pretty bad stains on the carpet that looked like they'd be difficult to shift. The outside patio area had not been swept or cleaned and was a bit messy. There is a light industrial business just next door which can be a bit noisy at times. The immediate surrounding area lets this place down. It appears to be very much in decline so unless the sun is shining and you can get to the beach there is a limited amount to do in the village. Good for a couple of nights but I wouldn't want to be there longer. You can obviously choose to go further afield for more entertainment and a larger variety of pubs and restaurants.

Such a beautiful stay. We just pulled in to Raumati and booked online by the time we got there it was ready and he had just got paperwork. Lovely stay had everything there. And reception was superb love the high energy and very welcoming.

I loved my stay here, it was quiet and a relaxed family vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they recommended the Thai restaurant down the road as one of the best in Wellington, and it was delicious!! The beach is just across the road and there are many good places to eat/explore just around the corner as well. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay! Right by the beach with really good amenities for a longer stay. The apartment was really spacious and comfortable with a pool and spa to boot. Room also has a spa bath. Shops and resteraunt s are less than 50m away and the entrance to Raumati Beach is even closer. Recommend it to all
