Current Work
WAI-Core (2010-2015) work was completed in September 2015, and included

How To Participate
WAI-Core work is developed through W3C/WAI Working Groups. To participate in development and/or review of WAI-Core work, consider participating in the Working Group developing the work that you are interested in, or commenting on drafts.
Anyone can review drafts. To get notifications of drafts for review, see Getting WAI Announcements for links to WAI tweets, RSS feed, and WAI IG emails.

About WAI-Core
WAI-Core work included the following tasks:
Task 1:
- Track and report on maintenance of a multi-stakeholder Working Group to contribute input into reviews of technical specifications, and to contribute to development of proposal for accessibility solutions;
- Track and report activities reviewing and commenting on accessibility barriers and support in Web technologies;
- Track and report activities proposing and negotiating accessibility solutions for Web technologies, including where applicable the development of specifications to address gaps in accessibility support in existing Web technologies.
Task 2:
- Track and report to NIDRR on maintenance of one or more Working Groups to contribute to the development of WAI guidance and technical support materials for Web content, authoring tools, and browsers and media players.
Task 3:
- Report to NIDRR on coordination with standards organizations and/or
regulatory processes as needed to promote harmonization of Web
accessibility standards and guidelines, and on promotion of broader
adoption of WAI guidelines.
