Breton is a small village/town that is within easy driving distance of major centres such as Edmonton, Drayton Valley, Leduc, Red Deer, and Wetaskiwin, a little more difficult following one of Alberta's famous snow storms.

Breton offers the "down home" hospitality and friendliness that can only be found in a smaller community.

The Village's website describes Breton and its amenities as follows:
"Breton's economy has remained stable for the past few years. Agriculture, oil field activity and logging are a few of the industries in and around the area.

Outdoor recreation is excellent with several lakes nearby offering camping, fishing, swimming and skating. Snowmobiling, horseback riding and cross country skiing are also popular.
