Dave Mingus was appointed to serve on the Illinois Central College Board of Trustees.
Mingus is the former mayor of East Peoria and the CEO of TazWood Center for Wellness. He holds a master's in counseling and human development from Bradley University. He also graduated from ICC.
“I have observed, firsthand, the benefits that ICC provides to this community and its residents. ICC not only prepares individuals to advance to a four-year institution, but, just as importantly, helps them develop new skills to better their standing and achieve a living wage,” said Mingus. “Illinois Central College has been very significant in my life and I appreciate the opportunity to give back.”
He currently serves on the UnityPlace Board of Directors and on his church board.
Mingus will hold the seat previously occupied by Frank Mackaman.
