WCCB CHARLOTTE File Requirements and Traffic Delivery
General Requirements
- One spot/program per file
- Aspect ratios: 720×480 (SD) or 1280×720 (HD) 1920×1080 (HD)
- Frame rates: 29.97, 30, 59.94 or 60 fps
- Audio: 2 channel mixed audio
- ALL files require the following: A slate, two (2) seconds of black between the slate and the start of the
spot/program and at least five (5) frames of black at the end of the spot.
- Slate must include the following information: Client name, ISCI code and spot/program length. The
ISCI code is an identifier which you create. We suggest using your company initials, date, spot length
and version number. (Example: WCCB-050517-30-1)
File Format – Commercial Spots
- Preferred format: .mov, .mp4, .mpg
- Preferred codecs: H264, XDCAM EX/HD/HD422, Apple ProRes 422
- Captions: .scc format
File Format – Long Form Programs
- Preferred format: .mov or .mpg
- Preferred codecs: H264, XDCAM EX/HD/HD422, Apple ProRes 422
- Captions: MUST be closed captioned.
- We may request a .scc closed caption file to be sent separately.
Traffic Delivery
We will accept files from transfer services like Dropbox, WeTransfer or Hightail.
FTP file delivery is available through our FTP site. Please note that FTP access requires a unique username
and password that must be created by our IT Department. This process can take up to two business days to
complete.
Additional notes
We require you send a test file no less than seven days before your air date to confirm playback and closed captioning. If you do not have the ability to deliver your file with closed captions, we recommend you contact Media Images at 614-410-3000 ext. 105. Media Images can add closed captioning to your program and then deliver it to WCCB in the correct codec and file type.
File-based programming must be delivered no less than five business days before the scheduled air date to allow for conversions if necessary.
