Big Brothers Big Sisters

The challenges that many young people face every day are expanding, and their worlds are becoming more complex. The barriers to access that young people need to thrive are continuing to rise. These barriers have made it even harder to find a positive, sustained mentor to support them — 1 out of every 3 children in America is growing up without a mentor.

All of us were young once – we know what it felt like to have someone on your side, someone who listened, someone who cared. Don’t we all deserve that? Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga is empowering young people through mentorship, especially those who need us most. 92% of youth in BBBS programs feel a greater sense of belonging and connection to a caring adult, and our mentoring and emotional support consistently reduces depressive symptoms and anxiety. Will you join us in building a stronger and more equitable community tomorrow?

Bigger, brighter futures begin with you. Donate today to help us reach more young people.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region

Founded on June 1, 1964, in Cleveland, Tennessee, the Boys Club began as a small community initiative at the former Murphy Brothers Funeral Home. With limited resources, the Club quickly gained support, growing to 800 members by 1966. By 1969, a new facility was completed, and by 1974, it was fully paid off.

Over the decades, the Club expanded and evolved, aligning with the nationwide transition to Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) in the 1990s, focusing on education and life skills. From a single unit, we now operate 17 units across six counties, impacting thousands of young people.

Our mission is simple: to help young people, especially those who need us most, grow into caring, productive, and responsible citizens. With continued community support, we remain dedicated to shaping Great Futures.

Orange Grove

The Orange Grove Center is a private non-profit organization that serves adults and children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD). The agency was founded in 1953 by a group of Chattanooga parents and community leaders who were seeking services for children with disabilities.

Since its inception, OGC has been at the forefront nationally in pioneering services for individuals with IDD. Offered educational opportunities and new avenues for personal growth, OGC’s charter class of 25 students flourished rapidly. They became trailblazers, dispelling myths and dissolving long-held public misconceptions about the learning potential of those with developmental disabilities.

Welcome Home of Chattanooga

Welcome Home of Chattanooga’s mission is to create a community of hope, healing, and compassion for those who are facing a serious illness or death and need safe shelter.
We envision a community that works together to provide all people the opportunity to live life fully in the face of serious illness or death through compassionate care, reconciled relationships and restored dignity.

We provide shelter and loving care, partnering with area hospices who provide the professional medical care. We offer the opportunity for love, grace, and forgiveness at Welcome Home.
Welcome Home of Chattanooga recognizes that historically marginalized populations have not always received equal treatment in healthcare. We are committed to ensuring the inclusivity, respect, and dignity of all patients, staff, volunteers, and community members. Our commitment means we continue to learn, educate, grow, and champion causes of justice toward honoring each individual with quality and equitable end-of-life care.
All should die surrounded by love and compassionate care. We believe that everyone has purpose, and at the end of life, everyone should know that they are important and will be remembered.
