This double-sided plaid pillow can take you all the way from Fall to Christmas! This plaid pillow is made with chunky yarn, so it works up quickly, and makes a perfect evening projects. Mix and match your colors to make it work for any season!

This plaid pillow was the inaugural pattern from the very first Plaid Week, all the way back to 2016!
tt seemed perfectly fitting to re-release this pattern for the first week of Plaid Week Remix!

This pattern is a classic, very easy to adjust to make it your own, but it gave it a glow up for the release.

The free version is available below! The new glow-up gives this pillow a second dimension: it’s double sided!
I made two, one side is orange and black plaid (felt very Halloween-ish to me!), and one side is classic black and white plaid. My second one was classic black and white on one side, and classic red buffalo plaid on the other. They whip up just as fast, and you will be able to display your pillow through more seasons.

The new glow up crochet plaid pillow also includes versions for the 1 x 3, and 2 x 4 color work. It’s also very easy to resize, you can make this pattern in any size you need!

  1. Those colors! Sneaking that pomogranate in there is genius! The Serrano color looks discontinued on their site but I’m snagging the black and pom to get mine started! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Thanks for the pattern! I ran out today and got some wool to make the pillow. One question though – I purchased a P hook which is 11.5 mm and started it but it feels too big and loose compared to what it should look like. I have a smaller grey hook that looks like yours in the picture which is a K I think. So should I use a smaller hook or is the P hook the correct one? Thanks again for the great pattern and video

    1. Hi Nancy! My P hook is a 10 mm. I wonder why the difference, that is a pain, I am sorry! It is quite a bit larger than a K hook, but it depends on your gauge.

      1. No worries! After I asked the question, I saw the first post where you intoduced the week of plaid and listed out all the amounts. Thank you!

  3. I’ll start off with AMAZING PATTERNS AND DESIGNS!! I’ve created a few things of yours and they always come out perfect. Thank you so much for everything you do! Love Whistle and Ivy!
Next, could you release the colors you used for this design? Obviously one is black Hahaha!
    Thanks!!

      1. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to see what else you come up with for plaid week! I’m excited to make a few pillow’s for my living room!
I’ll have to get some photos of the things I made posted and tag you! I made a few pairs of baby shoes for my niece and also made chevron tablet covers for everyone in my house!
